There are vendors offering food & souvenirs. The next hour was similar to waiting for a roller coaster, basically standing in place and moving very slowly. After purchasing tickets we were told that it would be an hour and 15 minutes until we reached the trail. There was some traffic just getting into the park, and no signage once inside. Apparently my friends and I were not the only ones visiting.

It’s a fun way to kick off the FULL holiday season ahead! This is one tradition to start with your family that you’ll be thrilled about. If you missed this year, make sure you get there next year. My advice to anyone who is thinking about going over the next couple of days (they end on Halloween), make sure you GO! It’s a wonderful event for your family. She ran over and asked me to snap a photo. It was fun to see the kids so excited about the decorating kits.Ĭuppy was even on hand last night for some photo opps too with people! It was great seeing my daughter get excited about seeing Cuppy. They were passing out to the first 500 guests or so as they entered the Roger Williams Park Zoo Pumpkin Spectacular. Last night was special at the Roger Williams Zoo Pumpkins, Dunkin’ was there passing out some of their DIY Decorating Kits.

You can’t help but smile as you stroll along checking out each one of the carved pumpkins. It’s one of those things that just brings people together and brings them joy and happiness. It’s incredible seeing a child in a stroller light up with delight, as well as someone in their 70’s or 80’s. What I personally love about the Roger Williams Zoo Pumpkin Spectacular is that it’s great for people of all ages. Feast your senses on Rhode Island’s biggest and greatest pumpkin spectacular! Stroll, or dance your way, past thousands of intricately carved pumpkins displayed while listening to the soundtracks from 1860’s through today. Presented by Citizens, this year’s spectacular takes you from Joplin to Jay-Z, as we celebrate the greatest music from the last 150 years. It’s music to our ears as the nationally acclaimed walk-through Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular at Roger Williams Park Zoo is back and better than ever. It’d become one of those things that people from all over are coming to visit and see because it’s such a fantastic show. I always think about that whenever I see the Roger Williams Zoo Pumpkin Spectacular signage. I spent the whole time hoping I was, and the next day found out that I was expecting a baby (my Victoria!). In 2012, I remember going and thinking I was potentially pregnant. It was exactly the kind of Halloween fun we wanted for our family and we’ve continued to go throughout the years. We went for the first time when William was a baby and loved it.
It’s one of those things that you will do one and then quickly add to your holiday rotation every single year. If you’ve ever wondered about going to the Roger William Pumpkin Spectacular, you should do it.
